The process must be improved for the company to continue to generate revenue. There is no business process that cannot be better, but the question is at what price? Is it acceptable to make a perfect business processes that will produce a zero-defect product but with price that just few people can afford? Six Sigma + Lean is a method that relies on a collaborative team effort to improve process performance by systematically removing waste and reducing variation. It combines lean manufacturing/lean enterprise and Six Sigma to eliminate the process waste (jap. Muda). Six Sigma + Lean not only reduces process defects and waste, but also provides a framework for overall organizational culture change. The focus of a Six Sigma + Lean project is to fulfil customer needs completely and economically!
