Calendar of Events

We invite you to a professional gathering of PMI Croatia members at the Algebra Bernays University.

This time we will be joined by a delegation of professors and students from the University of North Alabama who are on a study visit to Croatia, so all lectures and panel discussions will be in English.

Both universities will present in the introductory part, and you will also be able to hear news from our PMI community.

This will be followed by a presentation of the ecological association "The Little Cleaning Bears", with which PMI Croatia is starting a collaboration. Learn what this exceptional environmental organization has been doing for years; how it manages the work of volunteers, and how you can get involved in their nature cleanup actions. In fact, the first joint campaign (cigarette butt hunting) starts right before the monthly meetup, at 5 PM in front of the event venue!

This will be followed by a panel discussion on the differences in education and practice in project management in the USA and Croatia, Europe and beyond. The panel will include:

• Diane C. Kutz, Associate Professor at the University of North Alabama, with direct insight into the state of PM education in the US
• Lecturer from Algebra Bernays University, Marko Šimac, former president of PMI Croatia and currently PMI Construction Ambassador with experience in both the real sector and public companies in the Republic of Croatia
• Associate Professor Katarina Pažur Aničić from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin
• Darko Jureković, member of the PMI Croatia Board of Directors for cooperation with the academic community, project management evangelist with experience from large corporations in the US (Microsoft, Oracle) as well as state administration and public companies in the Republic of Croatia

The panel discussion will be moderated by Antonio Prišćan, a cat lover, mountaineer, entrepreneur and project manager with rich life experience - from Gornja Konjšćina to Gornji Milanovac... and beyond.
